EPDM

Epdm nedir?
Açılımı; EthylenePropylene Diene Monomer 'dır. EPDM, Etylene Propylene Dianene Monomere kelimelerinin kısaltılmasıdır. EPDM ham madde ile talebe istinaden üretilen sıfır malzemedir.
Asıl adı etilen propilen kauçuğudur. Epdm kauçuk nedir denildiğinde bir polimer çeşidi olarak ilk akla gelen özellik, düşük camsı geçiş sıcaklığına sahip olmasıdır.

EPDM

Özellikler

Bu madde ısıya, oksidasyona, ozona, atmosfer koşullarına karşı oldukça dayanıklıdır.
Buna ek olarak fosfat, glikol esaslı fren yağları, su buharı ozon ve hava koşullarına karşı direnç seviyesi oldukça yüksek bir maddedir.
Etilen Propilen Dien kauçukları, bir elastomerik malzeme olarak doğal özelliklerinden ötürü dış ortam şartlarına ve düşük sıcaklıklardaki ortamlara mükemmel dayanım sağlar. EPDM kauçuk propilen ve doymamış dienin kopolimerizasyonuyla üretilen bir çeşit polimer materyaldir. Camsı geçiş sıcaklığı Tg, propilen oranına ğöre -54ºC ile –64ºC arasında değişmektedir. Kullanım derecesi 40 ile 150 derece arasında değişkenlik gösterir.

Bu nedenle düşük sıcaklık özellikleri iyidir. EPM ve EPDM doymuş yapıda olduğundan, ısı, oksijen, ozon ve hava şartlarına karsı direnci çok iyidir. 150ºC’de sürekli kullanılabilirler. Etilen propilen kauçuklarının yağlara ve hidrokarbon solventlere dayanımı iyi değildir.
EPDM, statik ve dinamik uygulamalarda özelliklerinin çok iyi olması nedeniyle otomotiv endüstrinde hortum ile profiller basta olmak üzere çok geniş kullanım alanına sahiptir.

EPDM aşağıdaki özelliklere sahiptir;

– Mükemmel dolgu uyumluluğu
– Mükemmel elastikiyet
– Düşük sıcaklıklardaki ortamlara mükemmel dayanım
– Kumho Polychem tarafından üretilen EPDM çok fonksiyonel bir özel kauçuk olup otomotiv parçalarında,lastik hortumlarda,kablo üretimlerinde kullanılır.Düşük özgül ağırlığa sahiptir,yüksek dolgu karışımlarına uygundur.
–Kimyasal dayanımı ,sıcak ve ozana karşı yüksektir.
